The first half was an evenly contested affair with Carniny Amateurs taking the lead through a very well struck Luke Murray free kick. Carniny held the lead until just before half time when Moyola equalised from a corner.
The second half began with sustained Moyola pressure and they could have taken the lead on several occasions but great defending by John Bell and Andrew Ewart helped Carniny weather the storm. With the clock ticking down Carniny broke with Ethan Cherry from midfield. His pass found Jake McCosh whose shot beat the Moyola keeper.
Team was - Jamie Davidson, Andrew Ewart, John Bell, Harry McKeown, Robbie Greer, Leo Harris, Luke Murray, Ethan Cherry, Matthew Montgomery, Jake McCosh and Rhys Lamont.
Carniny held on to win their first game. Well done to all the boys who played extremely well in their first competitive match.
