Carniny Youth 0–1 Newhill FC

Venue: Loughside Recreational Centre

Kick-off: 10am, 6/12/25

⚡ First Half: Newhill started strongly and enjoyed more of the early play. Within minutes, Fletcher was called into action, producing an outstanding double save to keep the score level. That set the tone for a battling half, with Newhill edging possession but our lads working tirelessly to stay in the contest.

⚔️ Second Half: Newhill continued to press and eventually broke the deadlock from a corner, the ball bundled over the line after a scramble. Carniny responded well and carved out chances, the best falling to Matt — who somehow managed to make the run and get his shot away despite playing without his glasses!

? Standout Saves: As the game wore on, Fletcher produced more crucial stops to keep us within touching distance. Despite the effort and fight from the boys, the equaliser just wouldn’t come.

? Man of the Match: Fletcher — his early double save set the tone, and he kept us in the game throughout with several key interventions. A vital presence between the sticks today.
