The U10’s remain undefeated after a closely contested match on Sunday afternoon. Both teams started brightly with good passing and movement. Ballymoney had the first chance which Kai saved well to push the ball out for a corner. Carniny had multiple chances to score first with Adam hitting the crossbar and Conor and Noah having shots blocked. In the 2nd half Carniny began to build some pressure and after some good work pressuring the defender Theo, passed to Conor who whipped in a beautiful cross which was met by Noah with a header at the back post. Noah continued to cause the Ballymoney defence problems with his skill and strength and was unlucky not to get his second from a tight angle. Adam then hit the post with a left footed strike from outside the box. Ballymoney equalised with a good finish from their striker. In the final few minutes both teams continued to push for the winner, but the final score finished 1-1.
A very enjoyable game to watch.
