Carniny Amateurs U13s made it two wins from two in the SBYL with a strong 3–1 victory over Bangor Swifts Colts, backed by Curragh Van Sales.

Carniny started with real intent, immediately forcing Bangor onto the back foot. Pacey fired a shot on goal straight from kick‑off, and the early pressure produced a series of corners and chances. Their bright start was rewarded when Jackson finished a well‑constructed move assisted by Isaac.

The defensive unit of James F, Ollie, Alfie and Pacey remained solid throughout the first half, with Zayn commanding his box confidently. Carniny doubled their lead when Kelean reacted sharply to turn home Alfie’s driven ball, making it 2–0.

Substitutes Zak, Mason M and Jack added fresh energy, with Mason M delivering an excellent cross that Jackson narrowly missed, and Zak going close with another strong effort. Further chances followed as Oliver and Mason G entered the game, with Mason G firing just wide. Carniny’s third goal arrived in superb fashion: Zayn collected a long ball, launched a quick counter, and Oliver found himself one‑on‑one. Showing great composure, he lifted the ball over the keeper, rounded him, and slotted home a brilliant finish.

Half‑time: 3–0

Bangor applied more pressure after the break, but Carniny continued to defend bravely, highlighted by a crucial block from James F. Isaac’s free‑kick created a chance for James H, who was denied by a last‑ditch challenge. Bangor pulled one back to make it 3–1, but Carniny responded well and continued to create openings. Zak drove forward strongly from an Isaac throw‑in but slipped at the vital moment, before Zayn produced another excellent save and released James H, whose shot was spilled and appeared to cross the line — but the referee waved play on.

Carniny managed the closing stages professionally, securing a deserved 3–1 win built on intensity, teamwork and resilience.
