Carniny Amateurs U12s 0–0 Glentoran Girls
Sponsored by Curragh Van Sales
From the opening whistle, Carniny set the tone with pace and pressure in the higher areas. Kelean and Jackson stretched the game from the wings, while James H and Zak worked intelligently through the middle to disrupt Glentoran’s rhythm. The visitors moved the ball quickly and used the width well, forcing Carniny to stay disciplined. Travis was sharp and decisive whenever danger appeared, and Alfie battled relentlessly in midfield.
As the half progressed, Carniny began to grow in confidence. The back line of Isaac, Ollie, and Pacey showed real composure, staying calm under pressure and building play forward with purpose. Their organisation allowed the Amateurs to gain territory and create attacking moments of their own.
HT 0–0
The second half followed a similar pattern, with Carniny needing to stay switched on and manage the tempo in difficult conditions. The introductions of Harlow and Caleb added fresh attacking energy, while Mark provided strong support down the flank. Movement from Isaac on the right and Jackson on the left created promising openings, with Carniny edging closer to breaking the deadlock.
Glentoran pushed hard in the closing stages, but Carniny’s defensive resilience was outstanding. Ollie produced a commanding display, reading danger superbly and shutting down multiple attacks, while Travis made key saves and dealt confidently with long‑ball threats.
A disciplined, determined performance earned Carniny a fully deserved point — and plenty of positives to take forward.
