Carniny started the game with real purpose, pressing aggressively and competing for every ball. Their intensity in the opening stages paid off as they created a series of chances and converted them well, moving into a 3–0 lead through sharp attacking play and strong combinations in the final third.
SOPFC, however, responded with resilience. They grew into the contest, began to win more second balls and forced Carniny into defensive action. Their pressure was rewarded with two goals before the interval, reducing the deficit to 3–2 at half-time and setting up a competitive second half.
Carniny emerged from the break with renewed focus. Within minutes, Brooke produced the standout moment of the match—receiving the ball on the turn before striking a superb long‑range volley that flew into the net. The goal restored Carniny’s two‑goal cushion and lifted the entire team, who regained control of the game.
From that point on, Carniny managed the match well. They continued to create chances, stretched the SOPFC defence, and added further goals through composed finishing from Lexie and Brooke. Despite SOPFC’s efforts to stay in the contest, Carniny’s organisation, energy and attacking threat ensured they remained firmly in command until the final whistle.
