Carniny Amateurs U10s 1-1 Sirocco Works FC

The Amateurs returned to the Dub again this weekend facing the league leaders who were sitting on 8 wins out of 8. Sirocco started the game strong with some lovely fluid passing in the midfield areas. But strong defending from Noah and Ollie and great goalkeeping from Robbie kept the scores level.

Eventually the pressure told and a lovely move down the left hand side by Sirroco put them ahead with a great finish. The lads responded brilliantly and came close on a few times to getting the scores level. Judah and Daniel battling hard in midfield chasing every ball.

Half time.

With the lads 1 nil down at half time they came out fighting and took the game to Sirocco. Jack and Luke causing real problems for Sirroco down the wings supplying Finn with some great chances. The pressure finally paid off when Finn used great skill to find some space and his shot found the back of net.
Sirocco then came back at the lads but the team held firm with great tackles and clearances to keep the scores level.

The match had an exciting end when Noah hit the crossbar with an excellent shot from his own half and Sirocco breaking through 1 on 1 but excellent goalkeeping from Robbie got the lads a well deserved point.
