Match Report: Carniny Girls U12 vs. Aquinas

Sponsored by Milanos Pizzeria Ballymena

After a few weeks off due to weather and pitch conditions, the Carniny Girls U12 team returned to action with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Aquinas.
Carniny started strongly, applying early pressure on the Aquinas defence and creating several chances. However, Aquinas responded with attacking moves of their own, which were well handled by Carniny’s solid backline. The breakthrough came late in the first half when Lucy’s shot forced a save, and Alicia was quick to react, slotting in the rebound to give Carniny a 1-0 lead at the break.

The second half continued in a similar fashion, with Carniny pressing forward and creating more opportunities, only to be denied by the Aquinas goalkeeper. Despite Aquinas pushing for an equaliser, Carniny’s defence stood firm to see out the win.
A special mention to Maddex on her debut, and congratulations to Alicia, who was named Player of the Match.

Well done to all the girls for a strong performance, and best of luck to Aquinas for the rest of the season!
