Carniny 8 - 2 Castle Juniors
Carniny made the trip to a wet and windy Paisley Park on Saturday morning.
After winning the toss, Carniny chose to play against the wind in the first half.

From the first whistle, Carniny were determined to keep the ball on the deck and were quickly rewarded with two early goals to take a 2-0 lead. Castle Juniors responded when a long ball caught out the defence, but Alex in the Carniny goal produced a brilliant save. Unfortunately, the rebound fell kindly for the Castle striker, who made no mistake to reduce the deficit to 2-1. Carniny reacted well and soon restored their two-goal cushion, making it 3-1 before the break.

With the wind now at their backs in the second half, Carniny played some excellent football and put the game beyond doubt with three quick goals. Full of confidence, the boys continued to move the ball well and added two more superb strikes. Castle Juniors were awarded a late penalty, which they converted for a consolation goal, leaving the final score Carniny 8-2 Castle Juniors.
