Carniny were out of the blocks instantly in this Junior Shield tie, taking the lead inside the opening minute. A defensive mix‑up in the Dunmurry back line allowed Matthew McComb to nip in and calmly slot past the keeper for 1–0.

Five minutes later it was two. Carniny broke from defence with McComb releasing Brandon Turner, who slipped the ball through the keeper’s legs, chased the loose ball and finished confidently to double the advantage.

Dunmurry eventually settled and pulled one back on 12 minutes when a cross into the Carniny box wasn’t dealt with and was finished from close range. They levelled six minutes before the break with a superb free‑kick curled into the top corner.

Carniny responded instantly. McComb delivered a dangerous cross from the right to the back post where Turner’s header was parried by the keeper, but Adrian Dubyna reacted quickest to fire home from close range.
3–2 Carniny at half‑time.

The visitors came out fast after the restart and equalised five minutes in, a throw‑in routine ending with a shot from the edge of the box that found its way into the far corner through a crowded defence.

The game became end‑to‑end as both sides pushed for a winner. Just as it looked destined for penalties, Carniny found their moment deep into stoppage time. McComb collected a Harley Farenden throw‑in, saw his first effort blocked, gathered the rebound, weaved past a defender and rifled a brilliant finish into the roof of the net.
A dramatic 92nd‑minute winner to seal a 4–3 victory.
