A late goal from David Johnston rescued a point for the Amateurs in this match away to Ruby's Rovers.
Carniny scored first in this game with a goal from Matthew McComb. Carniny then had a good penalty claim waived away when Danny McComb collided with the keeper. As the half wore on Ruby's passed over the Carniny back four to see them equalise before the break.
Carniny looked to get back in the game after the break but it was the home side that took the initiative and scored two to take a 3-1 lead. Carniny then got a life line when they were awarded a penalty which Matthew McComb duly converted. This buoyed the visitors and McComb drew the game level with another goal. Just as it looked the game would be a draw Ruby's hit back to take the lead with minutes to go. As the game approached the final whistle David Johnston fired home an equalizer to rescue a point for the visitors.
