U14 Carniny 3 - 0 Glenavy

Carniny went into the game knowing only a win would keep them firmly in the league title race, and they started with real intent. From the first whistle they controlled possession and set the tempo.

The breakthrough came early after excellent link‑up play between Knox and Kwacha. A perfectly weighted through ball sent Kwacha in behind, and he showed real composure to lift the ball over the advancing keeper for 1–0.
Glenavy responded by pushing hard for an equaliser, but Carniny’s back line stood strong. Beattie and Ramsey were immense, dealing with everything thrown at them and keeping the team firmly in control.
Carniny then struck again on the counter. A midfield pass split the Glenavy defence and once more Kwacha reacted quickest, driving forward and smashing his finish high into the roof of the net.

Half-time: 2–0.

The second half continued in Carniny’s favour, with the team dictating play and moving the ball confidently. A clever switch found Knox on the left, who released Houston on the overlap. His driving run earned a free kick in a dangerous area.
Brown stepped up and delivered a superb curling effort toward the back post. With no touch needed, the ball sailed straight in — a perfectly struck free kick to make it 3–0.

Carniny saw out the game professionally, securing a strong all‑round performance that lifts them top of the league on goal difference.
