Carniny entered their second league game full of confidence after last week’s win over Abbey Villa — and they backed it up with another dominant performance, running out 9–3 winners against a strong Holywood side.

The Reds started brightly, with Gordon threatening early on, and after ten minutes the pressure told. A blocked shot dropped perfectly to Rainey on the edge of the box, and with his very first touch he rifled an unstoppable strike into the top‑right corner.

The midfield pairing of Forgrave and Ramsey controlled the game superbly, breaking up play and feeding clever passes forward, while the back line of James, Davidson, Rainey and Harvey dealt calmly with Holywood’s attempts to break through.

Carniny doubled their lead when Kwacha threaded a precise ball through for Gordon, who finished confidently to make it 2–0. Holywood responded with a scrappy goal from a corner, but Carniny hit straight back — a loose ball fell to Harvey, who guided a composed effort into the top corner from distance.

Two substitutions followed, Marin replacing Gordon and Knox coming on for Magill — and both changes paid off instantly. Twice Carniny broke over the top, and twice Marin raced clear to finish clinically, giving the Reds a commanding 5–1 lead at half‑time.

Holywood struck again early in the second half from another corner, but Carniny responded with real intent. Beattie surged from halfway, forced a save, and reacted quickest to bury the rebound for 6–2. Holywood grabbed a third despite brave work from keeper Campton, but Carniny’s hunger for goals never faded.

A beautifully weighted pass from Knox sent Marin through for his hat‑trick, before Magill powered his way past the Holywood defence to hammer home Carniny’s eighth. With Holywood tiring, Carniny produced one of the moves of the match — Knox down the line, Beattie slipping it inside, and Marin finishing for his fourth of the day.

The whistle blew soon after on a superb victory, full of attacking quality, work rate, and squad impact.
