Carniny Youth were held to a 2–2 draw by Chimney Corner at the Ballymena Showgrounds, eventually settling the contest with a 4–2 win on penalties after a fiercely competitive match under the lights.

Carniny started strongly, pressing high and creating early pressure down the right-hand side. Despite their bright opening, it was Chimney Corner who struck first, taking the lead against the run of play. The response was immediate. From the resulting corner, Jake delivered an excellent ball into the box and Max rose above a crowded area to power home a superb header to level the game.
The remainder of the first half was tight and physical, with both sides battling for control. Reuben produced two outstanding saves to keep Carniny on level terms, showing sharp reactions and excellent positioning.

The second half continued in the same competitive manner. Chimney Corner regained the lead after breaking through the defence and rounding Reuben to make it 2–1. Carniny pushed hard for an equaliser, with Ollie twice going close as both efforts drifted narrowly wide. Their persistence paid off when Conlan threaded a well‑weighted pass through to Ross, who finished confidently to bring the game back to 2–2.
With uncertainty over the match format, the tie moved to a penalty shootout. Carniny showed composure from the spot, converting four well‑taken penalties while Reuben added another crucial save to secure a 4–2 shootout victory.

Reuben was named Man of the Match for a series of spectacular saves throughout the game and his calm presence heading into the shootout.
