Ballywalter 3 v 3 Carniny

Carniny played this game with shear guts and determination as they were down to their bear minimum side today. Two great strikes put the visitors 2-0 ahead from David Calderwood in the first 15 minutes. Carniny were all over Ballywalter with good play again in midfield from Cummings and Nixon. Against the run of play Ballywalter scored just before half time.

Carniny came out the second half playing good football but the home side were getting away with lots of bad tackles and three of the Carniny players were limping carrying injuries with no available subs. Then a Jonathan Cummings shot was saved but dropped by the keeper so Kori Gamble was there to stick it into the net to make it 3-1.

Ballywalter pulled one back then Stewart Nixon beat the keeper but was blatantly held back by the keeper for a penalty but the referee refused to give it. Carniny hanging on with 8 players as three were injured and were not at full fitness Ballywalter scored two more to level 3-3.
