Things looked tough in the first half as Lurgan Town Lionesses raced into a 2–0 lead, leaving Carniny with a mountain to climb. But this team never knows when it's beaten!

Carniny came out after the break determined to fight their way back into the tie, and Ella sparked the comeback with a goal in the 48th minute!
Then, just a minute later, Ella struck again! Two goals in two minutes and suddenly it was all square at 2–2! What a turnaround!

With neither side able to find a winner, the tie went to penalties, setting up a nerve-wracking finish.

And this is where Evie stepped up in a massive way! Facing Lurgan's second penalty, Evie produced a crucial save but unfortunately injured her finger in the process, with a potential break to be assessed. What an act of bravery at such a crucial moment — everyone at Carniny will be hoping Evie's injury isn't too serious.

The girls kept their nerve in the shootout, and Ellie-Rose scored the winning penalty to seal a dramatic 3–2 penalty shootout victory!

This was a night that showed exactly what this team is made of: courage, belief and togetherness. Every girl played her part in a memorable result.
