Carniny U9 2-3 Cliftonville Strollers

SBYL – The Dub – Friday 23rd

Another fantastic performance from the boys against top of the table Cliftonville. The boys were never out of the game. Cliftonville were 2-0 up at halftime but Carniny had the better possession, played the better football and had more of the chances. The boys came out fast in the 2nd half and pulled a goal back from Noah, then had a shot from Conor cleared off the line. Cliftonville scored with a counterattack goal to make it 3-1. The boys’ heads didn’t drop

and continued to fight. Harris then picked up his first goal of the season from a corner. With 5 minutes left Cliftonville were hanging on as we pushed all the players forwards looking for an equaliser but couldn’t find the back of the net. Shout out to keeper Kai who pulled off some great saves to keep us in the game.

Carniny U9 V Ballykeel/Ballymena Utd

IFA Games Development Centre – Ballymena Showgrounds - Friday 23rd

The boys returned to action at the showgrounds on Friday with a good performance against Ballykeel, with goals from Leo and James. Next up in their second game v Ballymena Utd there were goals from Ryan and Evan. Some excellent football played in both games as the boys continue to get experience playing 7 a side.
