Carniny U16s 4–0 Crumlin United Colts
Ballysillan – Friday Night

Carniny U16s continued their excellent start to the season with a commanding 4–0 win over Crumlin United Colts at Ballysillan. From the first whistle the boys took control, dominating possession and playing with real confidence.

The breakthrough came midway through the first half. A poor clearance from the Crumlin goalkeeper was seized upon by Jaydn, who drove forward and finished calmly into the bottom corner. Carniny’s pressure continued, and ten minutes later the lead was doubled. A clever free kick from Max picked out Sam Henry, who unleashed a stunning strike from around 35 yards, leaving the keeper with no chance.

Carniny added a third before the break when Jaydn swung in a dangerous free kick from the left that evaded everyone and found the net. 3–0 at half time and fully deserved.

The second half brought more composed football from the Reds. Max and Sam caused problems down the flanks, while Sam and Alfie worked tirelessly in midfield. Harley’s excellent hold‑up play helped Carniny sustain attacks, and although several chances went begging, the fourth goal eventually arrived. A superb corner delivery from Max was met by Alfie, who powered home a header to make it 4–0.

Crumlin rarely threatened, though they did strike the crossbar with a snapshot late on. Overall, it was a strong, disciplined team performance with quality shown in every area of the pitch.
