Carniny U17 3-1 Ballynahinch Olympic
The U17s finished their league fixtures against a strong Ballynahinch Olympic side who had easily won the league and cup double. But it was Carniny that looked like the champions and dominated the opening 20 mins but couldn’t score. Only to be undone against the play when we went 1-0 down but we kept our shape, and our passing and movement was the best all season and we equalised through Peter. In the hot conditions we were making changes but played super and Conor gave us the lead after a super pass and an incredible turn and shot 2-1. Our opponents were rattled, and it was soon 3-1 after when Ruairi followed in on a shot and scored when the keeper couldn’t hold it.
