PRE SEASON TOURNAMENTS AND GAMES CONTINUE

All the Carniny teams are preparing for the new season either in various tournaments or in friendly fixtures. The past weekend saw the GIRLS U14s play in pouring rain in the ‘Portrush’ tournament whilst the U10s headed in the opposite direction to play in the ‘Ards’ tourney.

Both teams competed well in terrible conditions. The ‘Senior’ men's side continue their preparations with a game against neighbours Seven Towers.

All is looking good for the Ballymena ‘reds’ who will be fielding many teams at 15 age groups this season as well as continuing with their well established Football Development Centre at St Louis Grammar School each Saturday morning from 10 am to 11 am starting on the 16th September with applications to prospective applicants out shortly.

Finally, the club are running a ‘BACK TO SCHOOL FOOTBALL BLITZ’ on the 14th and 15th August from 2pm to 4pm up at the clubs base at Carnhill, Carniny where many a talented footballer took their first steps in football. Keep an eye on the press or clubs social media for details.

UNDER 19 COACH REQUIRED

Carniny are on the lookout for an Under 19 head coach for next season and have a team already to enter into the South Belfast Youth League. Any person or persons interested should contact Billy O’Flaherty to arrange an interview on 07850669666. Carniny are a forward thinking club and support any prospective individual along the coaching road through funding. A team is already in place for playing in this years South Belfast Youth League.

DEVELOPMENT TEAM TRIALS OFFERED

The club are offering trials to any male player born in the year 2005 or 2006 to play in next seasons Under 19 South Belfast League team. Any prospective player would be joining an already successful team as it won two cup competitions last season and one the year before! If you think you are good enough to play at this level contact Billy O’Flaherty.
