The Under 14s kicked the club’s weekend off on Friday night with a comfortable 7-0 win over Aquinas star in the SBYL Cup, helped on their way with a four goal salvo from Joe Blair and a brace from Alex Dael. In the only other 11 a side game the U13s lost out in a SBYL Supp Cup s/f match against Immaculata.
There were no games for the U11, 12, 15, 16, 17 and 19s last weekend. The only other teams in action were the U9s and U10s up in Coleraine in the Harry Gregg Foundation Youth League.

FOOTBALL DEVELOPMENT CENTRE

Saturday past was the final session of the clubs Football Development Centre at Castle Tower 4g facility for children born in 2011, 2012 and 2013. The next set of sessions over a ten week period will commence on the 27th January, 2018 and current participants should return their completed application by 16th December to confirm their interest. Application forms can be obtained from club Secretary Billy O'Flaherty who can be contacted on 07850669666.

The club wish to thank all the members of the centre for their support and the coaches for their commitment each week. The club also wish to thank the staff of St Louis Grammar School and Castle Tower School for allowing use of their venues.

Call for Prospective Coaches/Volunteers

The club are currently on the look out for aspiring coaches and volunteers who would like to get involved with the club particularly at the young age groups from 5 yrs upwards. Parents with children in the club are particularly welcome and as is the norm for Carniny will be offered Coaching courses on the IFA coaching ladder.
