There were some high scoring matches for the club this weekend with the 13s on top form in their SBYL match against Castle Juniors and the 11s also in fine goal scoring form against Rosario also in their first match in the SBYL. The Seniors battled hard to bring themselves back into their game against Cloughmills to take a win and stay top of the table.
In the National League the Under 15s had to settle for a draw against Irish League Academy side Coleraine whilst the U16s were disappointed losing out to Limavady in their opening game in the National League.
In the SBYL the U14s and 18s were on the losing side of the scoreline in their Friday night games.

The IFA SSGs at the Showgrounds on Friday night saw four teams from the U8s and U9s enjoy a great night of football with some promising talent on show for the club.

In the Saturday IFA SSGs also at the Showgrounds the club made a little bit of its own history when they saw their Girls team play their first competitive matches and the girls did well playing against teams from Northend, Ballymena All stars and some of their own Carniny Youth boys teams.

Girls coaching within the club will continue Wednesdays at the Ballymena Showgrounds Pitch 6 at 7pm , Contact Gail Kernohan – 07754155758 or Davy Jones 07821 452653 for details. The girls are now playing in the IFA SSGs centre at the Showgrounds on Saturday mornings

FOOTBALL DEVELOPMENT CENTRE TO COMMENCE

Carniny Amateur & Youth FC Football Development Centre is expected to commence for the first session of the season on Saturday 24th September, 2016 at a time and venue to be announced. The centre is aimed at aspiring young footballers both male and female born in the years, 2010, 2011 and 2012.
