After a hugely successful debut season, Carniny AYFC’s newly formed Ladies team will take centre stage at the Annual Northern Ireland Women’s Football Association Awards Night at the Hilton, Belfast on Saturday 17th October.

The Ladies have enjoyed a brilliant first campaign, lifting the Pathway West League title under the guidance of Marc Copeland and Melanie Lennox, and are now heading into the awards night with several major honours to collect.

Courtney Herbison will be crowned Top League Goalscorer, finishing the season with 37 goals in just 18 games — a phenomenal return in her debut year.

Emma Leslie will receive the League Goalkeeper of the Year award after keeping 8 clean sheets across the campaign. A great performance in her debut season between the sticks.

Michelle McDonald has been shortlisted for League Player of the Year, one of only three nominees. Michelle also boasts a 24 goal return. Fingers crossed Michelle can complete a Carniny hat‑trick on the night.

The club would like to extend sincere thanks to our sponsors — Tullyglass Hotel and Milanos Pizzeria Ballymena — for their fantastic support throughout this first season.
