The boys travelled to Crumlin tonight with a little weight on their shoulders after their cup exit last week. Determined to put things right they started strong with some great passing and using each other well. Working together they were a different side. A solid first half performance from Jake kept Glenavy at arm’s length. Involved in everything he fed Ollie with a great through ball to which Ollie ran from inside his own half and rounding the keeper to open the scoring. Soon after Jake swung in a mighty corner and Keiron doubled the lead with a great header. Half ending with the lads very much on top and Archie unlucky not to score.
Second half kicking off with the boys in control all over the pitch. Glenavy found themselves back in the game from an unfortunate penalty. With Alfie carrying a bug and having to come off at half time our stand in keeper Harry Tang got his hand to the pen but just unlucky not to keep it out. Where it looked like there was a way back for the hard battling Glenavy, Keiron battled through and found Ollie to put the game to bed with his second of the night and our third. Another fantastic game tonight on both sides and Glenavy were a fantastic opponent. Hard to pin point a man of the match where Jake Lorimer controlled Glenavy's threat in midfield but Seth O’Melvena had a stand out performance. Calm on the tackle and never put a pass out of line.
Brilliant from each of the boys tonight and get well soon Alfie ????
