Carniny Amateurs U10s vs Ballymena United Colts
Carniny Amateurs took on Ballymena United Colts in windy conditions on Friday evening. After a slow start, Carniny grew into the game and took the lead five minutes before half-time. A quick counter-attack sent Daniel breaking free from the halfway line, and he finished well with a low strike from the edge of the area despite pressure from a Ballymena defender.
Ballymena pushed hard for an equaliser, but Ollie and Jonah defended brilliantly, and Robbie pulled off several excellent saves, staying solid throughout.
Midway through the second half, Judah delivered a great corner which fell to Jack, and he coolly finished first time into the bottom corner.
Carniny continued to search for more goals with some lovely link-up play in attack, but couldn’t add to their tally as they saw the game out for a well-earned win from a good team performance.
