TOUGH TEST FOR U10 YOUTHS

Carniny U10 1-6 Cookstown Youth U10

SBYL – Blanchflower Stadium – Friday 24th

Another tough test for our wee reds on Friday up against an unbeaten Cookstown side. The lads started well trying to find some space to move in the wings for Connor & Billy, Harlow pulling the strings in midfield to get Alex on the ball as much as possible. After going a couple of goals down our defensive team of Gary, Isaac & GK Jake didn’t stop working hard & pulled out all the stops to keep the game within our reach.

Second half started very fast & Billy pulled a goal back with a shot from distance to beat the Cookstown GK. A change in positions saw Harlow supporting Gary on the right side, with some superb work from Carter as well. Alex battled hard taking on defenders in numbers & almost having success. Cookstown were just too strong for us in the end with a couple of goals that added to a flattering score line that didn’t tell the full story. Our lads worked hard, battled harder & we couldn’t be prouder!!
