Carniny U18 4-1 Portrush

Carniny started on the front foot again Portrush with a few early chances but unable to test the keeper. The first goal came from a Mark ping across the pitch to Ryan who squared it to Jay who tapped home for 1-0. Carniny kept the pressure up but against the run of play Portrush equalised. After the goal Portrush piled on the pressure and should’ve taken the lead. Carniny went ahead before the break after Jack beat his man to a header after Jays corner at the near post.

The second half started with Carniny in control and had many chances to make it 3-1. A period after a few great saves from Noah, the ball fell to Jay 30 yards out from the goal, who finessed it into the top left corner with his weaker left foot. The fourth came immediately after with Nathanael getting the ball past his man and smashing the ball into the top corner from 30 yards out again. The second half ended with Carniny unfortunate not to score a few more but a strong performance in a 4-1 win.
