Carniny U18 2-1 Portrush Youth
SBYL – Showgrounds – Friday 24th
Carniny started off by having a few chances but couldn’t test the keeper well enough. About 10 minutes into the first half, Portrush won a free kick which they headed in to score their first chance. Carniny tried to get back into it quickly but had a few shots from range which didn’t trouble before the half ended. The second half started with Carniny changing shape and looking more up for it. A pinpoint cross from Jay came to Nathaniel who excellently headed it past the Portrush keeper for 1-1. The game started to be played much more in Portrush’s half which resulted in a super ball in from Noah being finished first time by Ryan on the volley straight past the keeper for 2-1. Carniny held strong the rest of the game and got the 3 points after a strong second half performance.
