Carniny took the lead after Jake Wright scored from a free kick in the 4th minute. It was a tight game with both teams playing good football. Newhil then equalised in the 9th minute. Both teams battled hard and Carniny scored score their second goal when the Newhill keeper made a mistake and Luis White was on hand to slot the ball into the open net.
The 2nd half saw Carniny press hard and were awarded a penalty in the 50th minute, but this hit the post. Newhill pushed hard but the Carniny defence stood strong, with Luke Elliot making a couple of excellent saves. In the 50th minute Carniny scored a third with Nathanael Hanna. The match was wrapped up when Luis White made it 4.
