LATE WINNER MAKES IT ALL 'WRIGHT' FOR SENIORS!

A poor start from the Seniors saw them go a goal down early on in this match when some confusion from Clarke and McKillop gifted Rangers an early lead on 12 mins. The visitors were on the front foot for most of the half with Carniny struggling to find any rhythm at all. However as the game approached the break Aaron Johnston delivered a cross for Dean Wright who made no mistake drawing Carniny level on 44 mins.

Carniny were in better form second half but still couldn't get themselves into the lead despite some good work moving forward. Carniny thought they had a penalty when both Jay Peacock and Dean Wright both ended up bowled over in the box but the calls were waved away and Peacock thought a left curler was destined for the top corner but the Rangers keeper pulled off a superb save to deny him. Just as it looked it would be points shared good work from Johnston got the ball into the box and with a couple of attempts that were saved and cleared off the line Peacock worked the ball to Jake Wright who fired into the net so see Carniny take the lead on 90 mins. There were still 7 mins of added time to go at this stage and Rangers forced a number of corners in the dying minutes but the Carniny men held firm to take the win.
