Carniny has now held its third end of season function for its various teams when the under 8s, 9s, 10s and 11s celebrated a successful year at Tullyglass Hotel on Thursday evening. The clubs’ final function will also be at Tullyglass on the 21st of June for the boys under 12s, 13s, 14s and 16s as well as the girls under 10s, 11s, 12s and 13s to two separate sections of the Clock Tower function room. Guest will be former player Chris Rodgers who now plays at Carrick Rangers as well as some female reps from the IFA. Team of the month for June sponsored by McDonalds Restaurant went to the clubs under 14 team coached by Chris Shields, Ian Black, and James Kernohan. Well done lads!

SUMMER BLITZ!

Finally, the club intend running a football ‘BLITZ’ for children born in 2017, 2018 and 2019 on the 4th, 5th and 6th July and anyone interested in sending their child should keep an eye on the clubs’ social media.

FEMALE COACH REQUIRED

Carniny are looking a female coach holding at least the IFA ‘B’ Licence or equivalent to oversee the clubs every growing female section. Terms and conditions to be agreed and any person interested should contact club Secretary Billy O’Flaherty on 07850669666 for details. Several of the clubs’ former players are now playing for female clubs Linfield, Glentoran and Larne so Carniny do help promote their players be it male or female into football at a higher level.

UNDER 19 COACHES REQUIRED

Carniny are on the lookout for an under 19 coaches for next season and have a team already to enter into the South Belfast Youth League. Any person or persons interested should contact club secretary Billy O’Flaherty on 07850669666 to arrange an interview.

DEVELOPMENT TEAM TRIALS OFFERED

The club are offering trials to any male player born in the year 2005 or 2006 to play in next seasons under 19 South Belfast League team. Any prospective player would be joining an already successful team as it won two cup competitions last season and one the year before!
